Hey Anteaters! Are you interested in acting? Public speaking? Winning!? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Mock Trial at UCI is the perfect club for you!
Mock Trial is a competitive speaking activity where we simulate a real trial. Mock Trial at UCI is highly successful, ranking top ten nationwide. It’s a perfect opportunity to learn about the legal field, network with lawyers, judges, and law professors, and learn argumentative skills to take you to victory! How To Join
Step 1: Fill out our interest form
Fill out our interest form and you’ll get all the up-to-date information on everything related to mock trial recruitment. It’s a great way to stay updated and make sure you don't miss anything!
Step 2: Stop by one of our booths
We’ll be at Aldrich Park during the Anteater Involvement Fair on Monday, September 23rd from 11AM-4PM, and we’ll be boothing on Ring Road from Tuesday, September 24th through Friday, September 27th from 11AM - 4PM. Come meet the team and ask any questions you might have!
Step 3: Attend A Mandatory Info Session
While Steps 1-2 are technically optional, these next two steps are mandatory if you want to be a part of Mock Trial at UCI. At one of our Info Sessions, you'll be able to watch sample speeches and direct examinations, ask questions, and sign up for your own audition! We’ll be holding three Info Sessions that will each take place at Doheny Beach A inside the Student Center:
Monday, September 30th, 6:00 - 7:00 PM
Tuesday, October 1st, 6:00 - 7:00 PM
Wednesday, October 2nd, 6:00 - 7:00 PM
Step 4: Audition
Auditions will be held Thursday, October 3rd through Sunday, October 6th. Save these dates in your calendar if you’re interested in auditioning. You will be required to give two short speeches. No prior mock trial or public speaking experience is required to have a successful audition!
