Congrats on our A-Team who went out to the Windy City and competed at Nationals! They returned with an honorable mention and SPAMTA for a SECOND YEAR IN A ROW! This team has made AMTA history as the first program to win SPAMTA at Regionals, ORCS, and Nationals in a singular season. Congratulations guys! It always pays to be nice!!

Special shoutout to our President, Josiah Jones, for getting a DOUBLE All American Attorney award. This is the first time in 6 years Irvine has produced an All American.

We are so proud of our A & B teams, which competed in Los Angeles this weekend at ORCS. A-Team fought tirelessly and went UNDEFEATED with a record of 7.5 Wins. Not only were they good, but they were also nice. In the words of our coach, Rob, “Nice guys finish first.” They had the honor of receiving SPAMTA with 29 ranks. Fantastic work!!!
Our A-team captains also came home with some hardware. Shoutout to our President, Josiah Jones, for his 12TH AWARD OF THE SEASON. Dylan Darwish also won the ONLY double witness award at the tournament. Congrats, you guys!
Our B-Team competed excellently and also walked away with an individual award! Alexa Evrigenis won an attorney award with 16 Ranks! We’re so proud!

This past weekend UCI A & B traveled to Fresno to compete in their Regional Tournament, and they brought back some SERIOUS hardware. First, HUGE congratulations to UCI A (Team Bowser) for getting a bid with a record of 6.5 wins. With that, we are now sending TWO teams for ORCs! Next, we had 4 competitors come home with All-Regional awards: Alexa Evrigenis, Kyla Kowalewski, Dylan Darwish (witness awards) and Josiah Jones (attorney award). Lastly, we were also awarded with an Honorable Mention for SPAMTA with a perfect score of 30 Ranks! Thank you all for such good competition.

Watch out LA, UCI is coming to ORCs!

This weekend our C and D teams took on our first regional tournament at Tempe, Arizona. Both teams faced serious competition and came out with some great wins. A huge congratulations to our D Team who earned Mock Trial at UCI’s first bid to ORCS! Additionally, congrats to Khushi Patel for winning an All-Regional Attorney award. We couldn’t be prouder of both teams for their amazing work this weekend and for getting us started on the road to Nationals!

We had a blast competing at Cal Poly SLOs winter invitational Our teams made out like bandits, securing 1st, 4th, and 5th place. We came back with a tiny bit of hardware, getting 6 individual awards. We hit some phenomenal competition and had a fantastic time doing it. See you all next week in Arizona for our first round of regionals!!!

Congratulations to Team Bowser for having a successful weekend competing at the 10th Annual Great Chicago Fire Invitational! Not only did our team hit some great competition, but we also came back with trophies. First off, our team won SPAMTA with a perfect 30 Ranks at the tournament. Being nice has never felt so good. Next up, our A-Team Captain’s took home some serious hardware. Our President, Josiah Jones, came away with a 24 & 22 Rank Attorney award. He was the ONLY competitor at the entire tournament to double award. Dylan Darwish came home with a 23 Rank Witness award. So proud of them both!

This past weekend all 4 UCI had teams had the pleasure of competing at UCLA’s UCLAssic Invitational! Congratulations to both Josiah Jones and Khushi Patel for winning outstanding attorney awards. And a huge thank you to UCLA for inviting us to an incredible tournament with great competition!

This weekend Mock Trial at UCI hosted its annual Beach Party Invitational welcoming teams across the county. Both A and B team competed in the tournament and walked away with 2nd place in the final championship! Additionally, congratulations to both Josiah Jones and Sophia Hobby, who earned an attorney award and witness award respectively. A huge thank you to all the teams who came and participated. A great way to start the season!

We are extremely proud of both of our teams that competed at UC Santa Barbara’s Mocktopia Tournament. Teams Yoshi and Luigi locked in two honorable mention wins in an extremely competitive field! Not to mention our President Josiah Jones coming in with another attorney award and Brian Migliaccio pulling out a witness award at his 2nd tournament ever! Big thank you to UCSB for inviting us and putting on great tournament.

This past weekend Mock Trial at UCI had the absolute pleasure of hosting our very own Anteater Invitational! With a record-breaking number of teams and the largest tournament we’ve hosted to date, all 5 Anteater teams had a blast competing—a huge thank you to all the schools that participated and made it a memorable weekend. Facing an amazing competition, both Teams, MARIO and LUIGI, gained honorable mentions! Finally, congratulations to all the individual award winners: Allie Chotikul, Daniel Pena, Josiah Jones, Julie Abing, Rajvee Patel, Stephanie Stahovich, Alexa Evergenis, and Dylan Darwish.

All 3 competing UCI teams swept away the competition this last weekend at UCSD’s Wlodarczyk tournament at Cal Western Law School! Congratulations to Team Daisy on their 1st place win, Team Mario for taking 2nd, and Team Peach coming in 4th! Huge thank you to UCSD’s amazing team for putting on a fantastic tournament.

Our A team finished up the year at Nationals, going all the way to Memphis. Facing some of the toughest teams in the country A team placed 4th in their division! Our nationally ranked team also won the SPAMTA award representing their impeccable character. A huge congratulations to A team for their hard work and spectacular accomplishments.

Our A and B teams had an incredible weekend at the Santa Monica ORCS, with our A team securing a place at Nationals with 7 wins! Both teams fought hard at one of toughest tournaments of the year and came out with multiple All-National awards. Congratulations to our All-Nationals Attorneys, Josiah Jones, Varshini Srikanthan. As well as our All-National Witnesses, Dylan Darwish, Jack Ryan, Dianna Chang, and Sophia Hobby.

Finishing our Regionals in Fresno this weekend were our B and C teams. Both teams did an incredible job wrapping up this winter season, with our B team bringing in our second bid to ORCS! A big congratulations to Sophia Hobby for earning an All Regional Witness Award (18 Ranks). So proud of both teams for their incredible performance this weekend!

This weekend our A and D started us off in the first weekend of regionals over at ASU. Both teams faced strong competition and came out with amazing wins. Our A team brought in our first bid for ORCS along with SPAMTA and our D team earned an Honorable Mention! Additionally, Congrats to our All-Regional Award winners: Anthony Antonyon (19 ranks - Witness) and Jack Ryan (18 ranks - Attorney). An incredible start on the road to Nationals. Thank you to ASU for hosting a spectacular regional tournament.

Last weekend we sent our B, C, and D teams to the SLO-Town Hoedown Invitational. B team earned 1st place overall and an Honorable Mention for the Classy Lassie award. C team earned 2nd place with an outstanding 7 wins. D Team earned 5th place with an amazing 5.5 wins. Not only did our teams place but walked away with 6 individual awards! Congratulations to our witness award winners: Anika Saraf (16 ranks - Honorable Mention), Sophia Hobby (18 ranks), and Leda Abkenari (19 ranks - Highest Ranking Witness). Also a huge congrats to our attorney award winners: Arnav Patel (16 ranks - Honorable Mention), Daniel Peña (19 ranks), and Amy Wong (20 ranks - Highest Ranking Attorney).

Last weekend our A team traveled all the way to Chicago for the Great Chicago Fire Invitational. Our A Team earned an Overall Honorable Mention with a record of 7 wins and a SPAMTA Honorable Mention with 29 ranks. A huge congratulations to Josiah Jones for winning a 29 rank attorney award, the highest scoring attorney at the tournament!

This past weekend we sent all four of our teams to the UCLAssic Invitational, and had a blast! Our amazing Stephanie Stahovich from C Team won a 17-rank attorney award! It was an intense competition, a big thank you to the UCLA Mock Trial team for putting on and inviting us to an amazing invitational!

Last weekend, our A and B teams competed in our very own Beach Party Invitational. Both A and B teams earned 2nd place. Congratulations to Jack Ryan who walked away with a 20 rank attorney award, Charlie Arias received an 18 rank attorney award, Dylan Darwish scored a 17 rank witness award, and Kyla Kowalewski earned a 17 rank witness award. Thank you to all the teams who came out and competed. A spectacular way to start the season!

Mock Trial at UCI shined at ASU’s Sundown Showdown Invitational! Team Bulbasaur placed first again and kept their winning streak throughout the fall competition season. Anthony Antonyan, Varshini Srikanthan, and Charlie Arias earned Attorney Awards with 17 ranks. Additionally, Varshini earned a Witness Award with 18 ranks and was declared the Highest Ranked Competitor of the tournament. We are so proud of Teams Bulbasaur and Squirtle for ending the season on a high note!

Mock Trial at UCI celebrated a milestone weekend with hosting our first in-person tournament in three years! Amongst all of our gratitude, Mock Trial at UCI is thankful for everyone who participated. We are especially proud of the Teams Bulbasuar for earning first place and Pikachu for placing second! In addition, we had 10 individual award recipients in our program! Congratulations to Josiah Jones, Rebecca Liu, Anthony Antonyan, Daniel Peña, Iris Gillam, Charlie Arias, Amy Wong, Varshini Srikanthan, Stephanie Stahovich, and Kyla Kowalewski.

This weekend UCI Mock Trial kicked off the Fall Season with UC Santa Barbara’s invitational tournament: Mocktopia. Teams Pikachu and Charmander faced varied competition and came out on top with Pikachu coming in 2nd and Charmander coming in 3rd in the whole tournament! On top of that, our teams collected a handful of individual awards. From Charmander, Rebecca Liu got a perfect 20 rank attorney award (on the Bye team!), Allie D’Alessandro scored a 17 rank witness award and Dylan Darwish walked away with both a 20 rank attorney award and a 16 rank witness award. From Pikachu, Josiah Jones collected an 18 rank attorney award. We are so proud of our teams for starting the season with a bang and we can’t wait to see what we accomplish the rest of the season!

This weekend our A team went to Pennsylvania to compete in the national tournament!! They came out with an honorable mention and had a record of 6 wins! We are so so proud of them and all of their hard work! What an amazing way to close out the competitive season and thank you to AMTA for hosting a wonderful tournament. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year!

Our A team fought hard and took home a bid to Nationals! A team also had some members win individual awards. Brian Anderson won an attorney award with 17 ranks! Matt Eng won a witness award with 16 ranks! We are so beyond proud of them. Our B team competed very well and also came out with an individual award. Anthony Antonyan won a witness award with 16 ranks! We are so excited for the National Championship and can’t wait to compete again!

This weekend wrapped up our AMTA Regional tournament cycle with our A (Conquest) and C (Famine) Teams facing the competition and coming out strong. A Team scored 4 wins and Josiah collected an attorney award with 18 ranks! C Team collected 6 wins, Charlie with an 18 rank attorney award, and our second bid to ORCs! All of our teams this season have faced tough competition and come out strong which makes us so excited to see what we can achieve at ORCs!

This past weekend our B (Death) and D (Death) Teams kicked off this year’s AMTA Regional tournaments and we couldn’t be prouder! Our D Team collected 4 wins and our B Team collected 6 wins along with our first bid to ORCS! Our B and D Teams had a great winter season and this tournament is a testament to all their hard work. We can’t wait to see what our A and C teams achieve!

This weekend our C Team faced tough competition at UC Berkeley’s invitational this season but walked out with two witness awards! Harshal with 17 ranks and Maya with 18 ranks. This was UCI Mock Trial’s last tournament before AMTA Regionals and given our successes so far this season, we are more than prepared to face whatever team comes our way!

Congratulations to our A team at UChicago this weekend! They flew out to the windy city and scored 4th place in the entire tournament along our very own Dylan collecting a witness award with 17 ranks! We’re so proud of them for such an outstanding accomplishment and we can’t wait to see what they achieve next!

We have continued to have a strong winter competition season! This weekend, our teams attended UCLASSIC and won multiple individual awards! Josiah won an attorney award with 18 ranks, Saga won a witness award with 17 ranks and Anthony won a witness award with 17 ranks! 

Last weekend Mock Trial at UCI sent all of teams to our very own Beach Party Invitational Tournament. Our A and B teams both made it to the semi-finals and on top of that, attorneys Nick and Brian received attorney awards! None of this would be possible without our fantastic tournament committee, Hugh, Ching and Brian, and our coach Emily who made sure everything went smoothly. This was an amazing kick-off to our winter season and we thank all the teams who attended and wish them luck for the rest of this season!
